CIHR Research Excellence, Diversity, and Independence Early Career Transition Award
CIHR Research Excellence, Diversity, and Independence (REDI) Early Career Transition Award is a new funding opportunity available to post-doctoral researchers, clinicians, and research associates from specific underrepresented groups to help them launch their research faculty careers in Canada. This program addresses the impact of racism and gender inequality on early career researchers. It uses an intersectional framework for race and gender. The first launch is open to racialized women (including trans and non-binary women and cisgender women) and Black people.  Future launches of the REDI award will support additional populations and will continue to promote the growth of diverse research communities. Please see CIHR’s webpage for further detail on the program objectives, eligibility, research areas and timelines.

The application deadline for this opportunity is May 4, 2023.
Please contact Caitlin Janzen (Postdoctoral Program Specialist, Research Services Office) for support and to register for UCalgary updates about this program.
